20-Inch Folding Bikes

A guide to choosing 20-inch folding bikes

Daily suitability involves more than a folding mechanism. How the folded bike is held, space occupied with accessories and carrying it on stairs also matter. Compare folded dimensions with both the entrance and interior of your storage space.

Vigor, SLCN200, ADHOC and Launch examples differ in brakes, gearing and folding design. Use information for the same model year and selected variant.

• Compare saddle and handlebar adjustment with recommended rider measurements; do not rely on one-size labels.
• Read hinge-lock and folding-sequence instructions and assess daily practicality.
• Check load limits, rack mounts and current operator rules if using public transport.

Are all 20-inch folding bikes the same size?

No. Frame, handlebars and folding method change folded dimensions; compare actual model measurements.

Can they be used for longer outings?

Geometry, gearing and rider comfort decide. Do not judge distance by wheel size alone.
