Child Seats
Choosing a child seat means considering bicycle fittings as well as the child's suitability. Polisport frame-mounted and rack-mounted examples need different installation. Check each model's manual for usage limits, harness and footrest adjustments.

Child seat fitting and passenger suitability
Frame and rack seats need different bicycle provisions. Polisport FF and CFS names alone are insufficient; read the exact model specifications. The manufacturer sets suitability requirements for age, weight and development. Do not transfer dimensions or capacities from another seat.
- Confirm the bicycle manufacturer permits child seats.
- Check dimensional and material requirements for frame attachment.
- For rack models, examine rack suitability and load limit.
- Assess harness, footrests and areas protecting the child from the wheel.
Can a child seat fit any rear rack?
No. Rack dimensions, construction and stated child-seat compatibility must match. Do not decide by load capacity alone.
Is a kickstand sufficient support when seating a child?
Do not use it as the sole support. Keep the bicycle under adult control when seating the child and follow the manual's boarding and removal steps.
