The BXTR Metal pays homage to Baxter Street, a popular skate spot in Los Angeles. It’s always been a place where style and authenticity are on display, like these frames. These shield sunglasses were developed by the Oakley® design team in close collaboration with friends of the brand to create a unique take on lifestyle eyewear. The BXTR Metal’s modernized shooter temple is inspired by Oakley’s original Razor Blade sunglasses. The frame is upgraded with the same metal material that the first Oakley sunglasses prototype was made from a lens and wire hanger. The BiO-Matter®* frame material provides all-day comfort and lightweight durability, while Unobtainium® nose pads provide increased grip.
*BiO-Matter is made from biomaterials with a minimum of 56% bio-based carbon content (representative of fossil resources with a foundry oil ratio)
