Front Lights
Front light choice differs between being noticed on lit city roads and seeing unlit routes. For Epic, XC and Knog, assess beam pattern, mounting angle and power source together. Do not choose solely by lumens or LED count.

Match the beam to your riding environment
Identical brightness figures may come with different beam patterns. Consider existing road light, ride duration and position together. For battery and rechargeable models, check the runtime mode. Do not assume waterproofing or automatic sensors without supporting information.
- Examine clamp size and direction adjustment.
- Ensure bags and computer mounts do not block the beam.
- Compare power type, battery access or charger connector.
- Read use and weather limits.
Is LED count sufficient to compare lights?
No. Optics, beam pattern and intended use matter. Assess technical information together for your route.
At what angle should a front light be used?
Follow mounting guidance. Illuminate the road as needed without unnecessarily impairing oncoming users' vision; check the fitting before riding.
