Like this frame, the BXTR Metal pays homage to Baxter Street, a popular skateboarding spot in Los Angeles where style and originality are always on display. Developed by the Oakley® team of designers who worked closely with friends of the brand to create a unique approach to lifestyle eyewear, the Shield sunglasses were developed. The BXTR Metal’s modernized trigger grip is inspired by Oakley’s original Razor Blade sunglasses. The frame is upgraded with metal as a nod to the first Oakley sunglasses prototype, which was made from a pair of eyeglass lenses and a wire coat hanger. BiO-Matter®* frame material means all-day comfort and lightweight durability, while Unobtainium® nose pads provide added grip.
