EVO-LAP TECHNOLOGY
Eighty percent of the staffing work is done with the appropriate material selection. But the remaining twenty percent requires most of our efforts. Therefore, our selection of the most advanced carbon fibers on the market is followed by heavy use of specialized tools such as FEA (finite element analysis) software to map the carbon localization.
With the FEA software we can simulate different forces on a virtual model of the frame and adjust the frame construction accordingly. FEA software enables us to create complete virtual prototypes that include all existing physical phenomena in real-world environments.
With our Evo-Lap technology, we model the frame to optimize the surface area, simulate pipe structures with different floor orientations, observe the results of using different configurations, and test the stress distribution in different areas of the frame. Thanks to this extensive computer modeling, we have optimized the carbon layers in all parts of your frame. When parts were linked together in early prototypes, a super-light and compact frame was achieved without sacrificing stiffness, comfort or impact resistance. The entire range benefited from our Evo-Lap technology.
SDS2 SHOCK DAMPING SYSTEM
Racers will confirm that ride comfort is a key element of performance. During the development of a hardtail frame, it is essential to separate comfort-optimized areas of the frame from those more concerned with stiffness.
Many brands on the market offer different solutions to improve these aspects, but most of them are limited to only one component or a specific area of the lineup. With SCOTT SDS2 technology, we go beyond this approach and reinvent the concept of comfort in hardtail frames without adding additional parts or sacrificing pedaling stiffness. correct alignment of carbon fibers. The result in the new Scale lineup is specific, controlled flexibility in areas that increase rider comfort and ensure the best absorption of vibrations, not only on the saddle, but also when the riders are standing on the pedals.
