After the mountain bike flagship XTR already set the benchmarks and the Deore XT and SLX followed suit, the Deore M6100 now completes Shimano's 12-speed lineup. It is complemented by components from the M5100 and M4100 series, which will equip the 11 and 10-speed drivetrains to the same high level.
Regarding price, the current Shimano Deore bands are positioned in the entry-level range, but they are not ready to compromise in terms of performance, quality and reliability. Nearly everything the XTR, XT and SLX has to offer in terms of technology, innovation, performance and functionality, you'll also find in Deore components.
Shimano Deore FC-M4100-B2 crankset
Shimano Deore FC-M5100-B2 chainring set for 11-speed drivetrain, according to the FC-M5100-2 chainline, that is, the distance from the frame to the center between the chainrings. Here it is 51.8mm or 3mm wider so the cranks are only suitable for frames with a 148mm top locknut size. However, two chainrings are also mounted on this model via a conventional 4-arm spider. Thanks to the 2-piece construction, a balanced stiffness to weight ratio is ensured.
