Thanks to the holes in the inner plates, the chain fits perfectly into the Dynamic Chain Engagement+ (DCE+) Narrow-Wide tooth profiles of the new Shimano 12-speed chainrings. This design causes the chain to fit more tightly onto the teeth. Vibrations are prevented and the chain action is smoother. This difference is not only noticeable when pedaling, but also results in a quieter drive system. Thanks to the combination of the new chrome coating and the proven SIL-TEC coating, the chain’s lifespan has been kept at the same level despite the smaller outer width compared to the M7000 chain.
